Hello friends! Hope you are all doing well.
Today's card was made for my youngest daughter. I made it a week ago as she was heading back to work full time after being off for a year with her sweet little baby girl. She is having a hard time because she wants to go back but she also feels like she is abandoning her baby. I am really excited about it because I get to spend three days a week watching that sweet little angel.
I am clearly ready for Spring since I have turned to using bright, happy colours again. Not that Christmas colours aren't happy but they are definitely Christmas themed.
Today's card uses the new Petal Park Bundle. It is a two-step stamp with a coordinating punch. I started by stamping the large leaf outline stamp onto a piece of Basic White cardstock using Pear Pizzazz ink. I then added the fill-in stamp to the outline image using Pear Pizzazz ink stamped off once. An easy way to be sure that your two stamps will line up is to stamp the outline stamp first. Lay the solid image stamp over top of the outline image and wiggle it around so that it fits inside the image. Use your acrylic block to pick up the solid image and when you go to stamp it, it will line up perfectly. I used the Layering Circles dies to cut out the image and matted it with a scalloped circle that I cut out of Polished Pink cardstock.
I stamped the outline of the flower image on a small piece of Basic White cardstock using Polished Pink ink and then the fill-in stamp using the same ink, stamped off once. The three flower images are all on one stamp and line up exactly with the coordinating punch. I punched out these flowers and added them to the circle using dimensionals.
I stamped my sentiment on a piece of Basic White cardstock using Tuxedo Black Memento ink. The sentiment is from the Forever Fern stamp set. I added a strip of DSP on the side of the cardstock. The DSP is from the Dainty Flowers DSP pack which is a Sale-a-bration item that you can get for free with a $60 purchase. I cut a banner edge into the bottom of the strip of DSP before adding it. This pack of DSP is really beautiful. I would not be surprised if it sells out fast. If it is something on your wish list, I would recommend getting it sooner rather than later. I matted this cardstock with a piece of Polished Pink cardstock. I wrapped a piece of Polished Pink ribbon around these two pieces and tied it into a bow. I then added this to a card base of Pear Pizzazz.
To complete the card, I added some of the new Iridescent Pastel Gems to the centers of the flowers.
Thanks for stopping by today. I hope you enjoyed this card. I hope my daughter knows that I am super proud of her and I know that she will do great.
Stay well and keep creating!
Terry
