Hello friends! Hope everyone is doing well. I have been pretty busy lately. I am still trying to figure out my days with my little one while staying on top of my other classes. She is such a busy little gal. She is in baby gymnastics right now. It started last week and she loves it! The only bad thing about it is that she comes home and does her bouncing, jumping and climbing on everything in the house and scares me to death!
Today's card was made for a friend that I met when I was on Stampin' Up's Team Canada two years ago. She was in a different group than me but we had many meetings on Zoom together. We actually had the good fortune to meet in person last Fall when she came out west to visit family. She was just as lovely in person as she was on Zoom! She became a grandmother last month for the first time. She was starting to believe that it would never happen so when her son and his wife told them they were expecting it was the best news ever!
I used the Adorable Owls stamp set which is a set that is only available in the Sale-a-bration catalog. I stamped one of the cute little owls on a piece of Basic White cardstock using Black Staz On ink. I used a stitched circle from the Stylish Shapes dies to cut it out. I used the Watercolor Pencils to color him in and used the Blender Pen to blend the colors. I matted this image onto a circle that I cut from some Balmy Blue cardstock using the Layering Circles Dies.
I used a Balmy Blue card base. On top of that I added a piece of Basic White cardstock that I embossed using the Gingham Embossing Folder. I also added a piece of DSP from the Country Gingham DSP package. I then added my owl image using dimensionals.
On another piece of Basic White cardstock, I stamped my sentiment using Black Staz On ink. The sentiment is from the One Happy Family stamp set. I then cut out my sentiment using a stitched banner die from the Stylish Shapes Dies set. I added this to my card using dimensionals.
To complete my card I added a few gems from the Iridescent Pastel Gems. They come in three different colours and the blue worked perfectly for this card.
