Dainty Delight Fence Card

Hello friends! Well I think Spring is finally here! I am so happy that we are having warm, sunny weather again. I have missed this desperately.

Today's card was also created for my stamp group. My friend Kim gets together with her sister to make cards and they made a card in this style. I had not tried this technique before so I had to give it a go. I was thrilled with how it turned out.

I used a card base of Basic White Thick cardstock. The piece I used measured 4 1/4 by 11 and I scored it at 5 1/2. On the front half, I cut off strips of 1/2 inch. This gave me 7 "fence boards". I also cut an extra piece so I would have a total of 8 boards. I used a piece of masking paper that I attached to the card base so I could line up the horizontal fence boards. Once I had them all laid out and was happy with the spacing, I added a drop of Tombo multipurpose glue to each board and added the horizontal fence boards. After the glue was dried, I removed the masking paper and my fence was completed.

I used the vine die from the Dainty Delight Bundle to cut out 2 vines from some Soft Succulent cardstock. This cardstock is retiring so I wanted to use it before it was gone. I attached my vines to my fence using Tombo glue. I had to be careful to apply the glue so that it would be where the fence boards were. If the vines stuck between the boards the card would not open properly.

I used the flower die to cut out 2 sets of flowers from some Pale Papaya cardstock. This colour is also retiring. I attached the flowers to the vines using adhesive.

On a small piece of Basic White cardstock, I stamped my sentiment using Evening Evergreen ink. This colour is also retiring. The sentiment is from the Dainty Delight Bundle. I used the Double Oval punch to punch out my sentiment piece. I used the scalloped oval in the Double Oval punch to punch out an oval from some Soft Succulent cardstock. I matted my sentiment onto this and attached it to the card front using dimensionals.

To complete my card, I added three of the Brushed Brass Butterflies. I am very happy to say that these butterflies are carrying over into the new annual catalog.

Thank you for stopping by today. I hope you enjoyed this card. Huge thanks to Kim for bringing this technique to my attention.

Stay well and keep creating!

Farewell to Framed Florets

Hello friends! So is Spring ever going to arrive? It is still below average for temperatures and I am ready for some warm temperatures. Are you with me?

Today's card is another one that I created for my stamp group. I had to do a special honor to say goodbye to Sahara Sand. I am so sad that this colour is retiring. It has always been my favourite neutral and I am really going to miss it. I am also saying farewell to the Framed Florets Bundle as it is retiring too. Insert sad face here.

I started with a card base of Sahara Sand. On top of this, I added a layer of Basic White cardstock, another layer of Sahara Sand and another layer of Basic White that I embossed using the Timeworn Type 3D Embossing Folder.

On top of the embossed piece, I added the fancy oval from the Framed Florets Bundle that I cut out from a piece of Sahara Sand cardstock. I used both the inside oval and the outer flourished oval. I added these directly to the card front using adhesive. I used the other oval die in this bundle to cut out an oval from some Basic White cardstock. I stamped my sentiment onto this oval using Gray Granite ink. I only just realized how beautifully Gray Granite goes with Sahara Sand. Too bad I won't be able to enjoy this combination. I attached my stamped oval to the Sahara Sand oval using adhesive.

Using the sprig die, I cut out two sprigs from some Basic White cardstock and added them to the left edge of the ovals. I used the leaf dies and cut out two leaves from some Sahara Sand cardstock and added them on top of the sprigs.

On another piece of Basic White cardstock, I stamped the flower images from the bundle using Gray Granite ink. I stamped two of the small flower and one of the larger flower. I then cut them out using the corresponding dies. I added the flowers on top of the sprigs and leaves using dimensionals.

To complete my card, I added some Basic Pearls (also retiring) to the center of my flowers. I coloured the pearls using my Gray Granite Stampin' Blends.

Thank you for stopping by today. I hope you enjoyed this card. I am really pleased with how it came together.

Stay well and keep creating!

Here is a bonus picture of my sweet little angel. When she gets up from her nap, she is not quite ready to face the world. She likes to snuggle in the big chair which we call the snuggle chair. Sometimes it's only for 10 minutes and sometimes she falls back asleep and we stay here for an hour. I love this time with her!

Irresistible Blooms Bundle

Hello friends! I am sharing another card that I designed for my stamp group. I like how this card turned out. It is very Springy and we could use something to encourage some Spring weather. It has been really cold in the mornings and even the afternoons have been cooler than normal.

Today's card uses the Irresistible Blooms Bundle. This is a bundle that is available as an online exclusive order.

I started by applying Soft Sea Foam ink to a large piece of Basic White cardstock using a Blending Brush. I added the ink in an approximate diagonal swipe from the lower left corner to the upper right corner. I also stamped the dots image on the upper right and lower left of the inked area. I added this piece of cardstock to a piece of Soft Sea Foam cardstock and then added this to a card base of Basic White Thick cardstock.

On a piece of Petal Pink cardstock I stamped the smaller flower image twice and on a piece of So Saffron cardstock I stamped the larger flower image. I used Versamark ink to stamp these flowers and then added white embossing powder and heated it to melt. Once it was cooled, I cut out the flowers using the corresponding dies. I added these flowers to the card front - the smaller ones were added using adhesive and the larger one was added using dimensionals.

I used the leaf dies from the bundle to cut out some leaves from some Basic White cardstock. I cut out a total of 6 leaves. I added these leaves randomly to the flowers.

On a small strip of Basic White cardstock, I stamped my sentiment using Soft Sea Foam ink. The sentiment is from the stamp in this bundle. I cut a banner cut into the right edge of my sentiment piece. On the left edge, I wrapped a piece of White Crinkled Ribbon around it and tied it into a bow. I added this sentiment piece to the card front using dimensionals.

I love how this card turned out. It is so springy and happy. I am definitely ready for spring and summer.

Thank you for stopping by today. I hope you enjoyed this one.

Stay well and keep creating!

Seaside Bay Bundle

Hello friends! I just have to share this card that I made for my stamp group last month. It was so awesome to have in person classes again. I missed seeing everyone and all of the chatter and visiting  that goes along with stamping. At the end of this post, I have a few pictures of my sweet little angel from Easter weekend.

Today's card uses the Seaside Bay Bundle. I love all things related to the ocean so I absolutely had to have this bundle.

I started with a small square of Basic White cardstock. I added a piece of masking paper that I tore along the top edge. I added the masking paper to the bottom of the Basic White cardstock, leaving about a half inch of white cardstock at the bottom. I then used a Blending Brush to add Sahara Sand ink approximately half way up the piece of cardstock. Once I was happy with my sand layer, I peeled off the masking paper and added it to the top of the piece of cardstock again leaving about half an inch of white at the top. I used another Blending Brush to add Pool Party ink. I blended it where the two colours met. When I was happy with the colour, I removed the Masking Paper.

I matted my above piece onto a piece of Gold Foil. Before I added my cardstock to the foil, I used the largest seaweed die and the largest scallop shell die to cut out these items. By cutting them out of the center of the foil, I saved paper.

I used the Seashells 3D Embossing Folder to emboss a piece of Basic White cardstock. On another piece of Basic White cardstock, I stamped my sentiment using Basic Gray ink. The sentiment is from the stamp in this bundle. I used the label die from the Waves Dies set to cut out my sentiment. I added a piece of Pool Party Ribbon that I threaded through the holes in the sides of the label. I added the sentiment to the embossed cardstock using dimensionals and wrapped the ribbon around the back of the cardstock. I then attached the embossed cardstock to a card base of Pool Party.

I added my matted, sponged piece to the card front using dimensionals. I used more dies from the bundle to cut out a small piece of seaweed from Pool Party cardstock and two small scallop shells from the Pearlescent paper. On a small piece of Basic White cardstock I stamped a shell using Pool Party ink and then used the corresponding die to cut that out. I added these shells and seaweed pieces to my sponged piece.

To complete the card I added some Flat Adhesive Backed Pearls. I added one large pearl and three small pearls.

Thank you so much for stopping by today. I hope you enjoyed this card.

Stay well and keep creating!

Here is a picture of Peyton tubing with Mom and Dad. As you can see, it's not the best picture. It was snowing really hard and it was really wet snow.

Here is a picture of her in her little sled. I took her for a ride one afternoon but she was so tired. That morning I just got her to sleep and some guy banged on the door and woke her up. She missed so many naps up there that I think she was glad to get home and catch up.

Here is a cute picture of her peeking through the rails on the steps.

These last pictures are her with her goodies from the Easter Bunny. He stopped by her house while she was away.
