Cheerful Daisies

Hello friends! I am loving this beautiful weather we are having! I know it's a concern for flooding and I hope everyone will be safe from that. There is still a lot of snow up in the mountains and this hot weather is sending it down too fast. It's such a dilemma...

This warm weather also brings out beautiful flowers. Today's card features the new bundle Cheerful Daisies. Whenever I see daisies like this, I am reminded of my grandmother. She always had beautiful gardens and had many daisies in her gardens.

I started by cutting out the solid daisy images from Basic White cardstock. I then cut out the detailed images also from Basic White cardstock. On another piece of Basic White cardstock, I stamped the daisy centers using Crushed Curry ink and then cut them out using the corresponding dies. I adhered the flower images together.

On a piece of Granny Apple Green cardstock, I stamped the stem image using Granny Apple Green ink. I then cut out the stem using the corresponding die. I also cut out the leaf image from Granny Apple Green cardstock.

I used the new Countryside Corner Dies to cut out the shapes from Lemon Lolly cardstock and Crumb Cake cardstock. I layered the Lemon Lolly piece on top of the Crumb Cake piece. I added my stems and leaves to the Lemon Lolly piece. I then added my daisies on top of the stems. I wrapped a piece of Linen Thread around this piece a few times and then tied it into a bow. I then added this to my card base of Basic White Thick cardstock using dimensionals.

I stamped my sentiment on a strip of Basic White cardstock using Tuxedo Black Memento ink. I cut a banner cut into both edges of my sentiment piece and then added it to my card front using dimensionals.

Thank you for stopping by today. I hope you enjoyed this card. Is there something that makes you think of your grandmother? Let me know in the comments.

Stay well and keep creating!

Terry
